Prof.El-Minshawy: Building awareness has a major role in combating corruption and addressing all its forms and negative images
Under the leadership of Prof . Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University; The Faculty of Physical Education hosted, on Tuesday, October 1, the awareness and educational symposium "Objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2023/2030", which was organized by the General Directorate of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Talent Management and Development; within the series of seminars launched by Assiut University; to introduce the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
Prof. Ahmed El-Manshawy, President of Assiut University, stressed the university's keenness to hold awareness and educational seminars that contribute to achieving the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, stressing that building awareness has a major role in the process of construction and development, and the importance of making awareness in the face of
Corruption, and addressing all its forms and negative images, explaining that the symposium discusses the national anti-corruption strategy, in its third phase 2023-2030, which is based on the establishment of an efficient and effective administrative apparatus that provides distinguished services to citizens, and creating a conscious society; with the risks of corruption, capable of combating them; in line with the axis of transparency and the efficiency of government institutions in Egypt's Vision 2030.
The symposium came under the supervision and presence of: Dr. Imad Samir, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Dr. Mustafa Al-Sabai, Vice Dean of the faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Prof. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Butheina Al-Fatih, Assistant Secretary General of the University, Dr. Mustafa Morsi, Director General of Information Systems and Digital Transformation, and Coordinator of the Implementation of the Anti-Corruption Strategy of Assiut University, with the participation of a group of faculty members, and administrative body of the faculty .
The participants stressed the importance of the topic of the symposium; within the framework of the university's quest to review the state's efforts in combating corruption through a comprehensive national strategy based on enhancing transparency and integrity in all sectors, and highlighting the main axes of the national anti-corruption strategy, which includes strengthening accountability systems, and working to achieve social justice by combating all forms of financial and administrative corruption, which hinders the course of work in institutions and state sectors, and weakens mutual trust between the citizen and the state.
The symposium reviewed several important topics, including: the definition of corruption, the United Nations Convention against Corruption, the first anti-corruption strategy 2014/2018, the second anti-corruption strategy 2019/2022, the third anti-corruption strategy 2024/2030, and the anti-corruption authorities, including: the Administrative Oversight Authority, the Central Accounting Authority, the Technical Works Supervisory Authority, the Industrial Supervision Authority, and the Pharmaceutical Regulatory and Research Authority.
