Since the establishment of the department in 1957,  165 M.Sc. and 89 Ph.Ds . Thesis (in various disciplines of either Botany or Microbiology) has been awarded. During the Academic years 2010 – 2015, 215 papers have been published by the faculty members of the Department. About 33 M. Sc. and 22 Ph. D Thesis have been successfully approved. Moreover, more than 266 scientific seminars were held.
