The Department of English provides quality education and training to students of major specialization in English and other non-specialized students in all other faculties of the university in addition to providing community services by its various programs and courses to individuals and corporations.

Department Objectives:

The Department of English works to achieve the following objectives:

- Provide quality education of English courses to students of both levels: undergraduates and graduates in all fields of English language, literature and criticism. 

- Provide quality education of English to all non-specialized students in all faculties. 

- Provide community services by a number of programs and training courses to individuals from the university or the community to qualify them for the TOEFL or IELTS exams.

The college included five English language laboratories, two for English, and three for the translation program.

• Teaching phonics to the four college teams and English language students.
• Teaching for graduate students in the English Language Department.
