Vision:

A distinguished and effective quality assurance unit between among the Egyptian and regional Universities

Mission:

The unit seeks to provide the facilities for the continuous development of the faculty to meet the rapid scientific and technological developments, improve performance and raise the faculty graduates to the level of excellence and local and regional competitiveness.

The strategic goals of the unit:

The unit aims to evaluate University performance, develop the educational and research process, community service and environmental development through the following sub-objectives:

  • Applying the University’s strategy regarding quality – at the faculty level – which includes the mission, vision, goals and objectives, as well as the directives issued by the University’s Quality Assurance Center in this regard.
  • Evaluation of the educational process by measuring the performance indicators of the inputs and outputs of the educational process (faculty - staff - students - graduates .... etc.)
  • Designing and preparing forms or tools that are necessary for evaluation to include evaluation mechanisms and standards and procedural steps to implement the quality assurance system in both its academic and institutional aspects in the faculty in light of the standards set by the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
  • Spreading the culture of the quality of the educational process among faculty members and students by organizing panel discussions, workshops and training courses concerned with developing University performance and quality assurance in order to raise awareness in the faculty community about the importance of quality assurance and excellence mechanisms.
  • Exchanging experiences and ideas that are related to the development of pharmaceutical education with similar centers and units in the faculties of pharmacy in Egyptian, Arab and international Universities and benefiting from them in achieving the desired development.
  • Determining the strengths and weaknesses in the capabilities and study programs offered by the faculty, presenting proposals and appropriate means to overcome them, and developing action plans with timings and responsibilities, and determining the necessary capabilities for them.
  • Following up the development of the various departments of the faculty for their programs and improving the quality and types of the academic programs offered by the faculty to bring its graduates to a distinguished level among the graduates of the corresponding faculties in other Universities, in order to achieve their high competitiveness in the local, regional and international market.
  • Submitting an annual report to the faculty in accordance with the standards of the National Authority for Performance Evaluation in the field of the educational process, postgraduate studies, scientific research, and professional and community services for the faculty, and submitting it to the Dean of the Faculty and its presentation and approval by the Faculty Council and sending a copy to the Quality Assurance and Rehabilitation Center for accreditation at the University.
  • Providing an integrated description and report for programs and courses.
  • Developing plans to train faculty members, assistants, the administrative staff and students according to the needs and in a way that contributes to the application of internal quality assurance mechanisms and continuous improvement and follow-up of these plans.
  • Increasing the faculty's relationship with its graduates and following them up on their progress in their duties.
  • Supporting and documenting cooperation between centers of scientific research and pharmaceutical production in Egypt or abroad in accordance with the mission of the University and developing the performance of the educational process there.
  • Strengthening the system of research activities by adopting an integrated research plan that ensures cooperation between the various departments and contributes to solving societal problems on scientific bases.
  • Raising the level of community participation in the faculty to ensure the provision of distinguished services in quality and quantity to gain the satisfaction and confidence of the beneficiaries.
  • Follow-up evaluation of performance in distance education systems, hybrid education and electronic exams.
  • Finding a mechanism to confirm the continuity of the activity of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit in the faculty and to ensure that the conditions and requirements of the National Authority for Education Quality Assurance and Accreditation are met to maintain accreditation and prepare the faculty to reach local, regional and international excellence.
