Assiut University Concludes "Conscious Leader" Camp for Developing Students' Leadership Skills
Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the university concluded its "Conscious Leader" camp for developing students' leadership skills. The camp, organized by the university's Student Union in cooperation with the Leadership Development Department, the Student Unions Department of the General Administration for Student Welfare, and the "Students for Egypt" family, took place from August 10th to 12th. It was held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Madiha Darwish, General Supervisor of Student Activities.
Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy emphasized the university's commitment to supporting student activities that contribute to building well-rounded students. He explained that the "Conscious Leader" camp represents a distinguished model for honing leadership and teamwork skills, preparing a generation capable of facing future challenges and actively participating in community service and achieving sustainable development. He affirmed that developing students' awareness and equipping them with life and leadership skills is a top priority for the university, based on its belief in their pivotal role in leading the nation towards a better future.
The closing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare, a number of faculty members and their assistants, department heads, and participating students.
The camp included a diverse program of educational lectures, sports and arts activities, and workshops, including: a lecture by Dr. Dweib Hussein Saber entitled "Risks and Challenges Facing the Egyptian State"; a lecture by Dr. Abdel-Rahman Mohamed Zaher on "Societal Risks Facing Youth"; a seminar on human development and entrepreneurship by Dr. Mohamed Ali Sadek; a seminar on national projects and presidential initiatives by Dr. Mohamed Sami El-Qadi; a workshop on health awareness and first aid by Dr. Naglaa El-Rashidi; a workshop on presentation skills by Dr. Asmaa Abu Bakr; a workshop on e-marketing and advertising design using artificial intelligence by Dr. Hossam El-Din Galal; and a seminar on religious awareness and its role in national belonging by Dr. Osama Awad Abdullah.
The events concluded with a documentary showcasing the camp's activities and the honoring of outstanding students who received the title of Best Leader from the ten camp groups.
The camp was organized under the supervision of Professor Mohamed Sayed Ali, the camp director; Dr. Mamdouh Shereit; Professor Dalia Shobak from the Student Unions Department; Professor Mohamed Sayed Abu El-Hassan, the camp coordinator and liaison for the "Students for Egypt" family; along with student Martin Nasser, president of the Student Union, and student Salah El-Nadeem, vice president of the Union.
