The Faculty of Nursing at Assiut University, under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, organized a large-scale vaccination campaign against Hepatitis B for its students , in cooperation

with the Infection Control Department at Assiut University Hospital.

Under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Fatima Rushdi Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, and Dr. Nahed Shawkat Abu Al-Majd, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development .

The campaign was implemented with the participation of Dr. Asmaa Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Infection Control Unit at Assiut University Hospital, and Dr. Amal Abdel Shafi, Director of the Medical Clinic at the Faculty of Nursing .

The campaign aims to protect nursing students and the Technical Institute of Nursing from the risks of contracting the virus, and to raise their awareness of the importance of prevention and vaccination, as part of ongoing efforts to promote public health within the university campus .

This initiative comes within the framework of Assiut University’s interest in applying occupational health and safety standards, and its support for preventive and educational programs that contribute to providing a healthy and safe university environment for all its members .

In this context, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Alim followed up on the activities of the vaccination campaign directed at second-year students at the Faculty of Nursing, in the presence of Dr. Fatima Rushdi, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Nahed Shawkat Abu Al-Majd, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Ehab Abdel-Radi Thabet, Deputy Director of the Infection Control Center at Assiut University Hospital, and Dr. Amani Mehran, member of the Infection Control Center at Assiut University Hospital .
